Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter is an American actress and producer that is well known for her highly commendable performances in films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. The film Piano has won several awards for her which included an Oscar. The path to acting began in Broadway with a variety of Broadway as well as Off Broadway productions. The art of acting has been a constant interest. Fifth grade was the year she played Helen Keller. After suffering from the Mumps, she was deaf to one side of her ear. The deafness was not enough to stop her desire to pursue a career as an actress. In her early years, she took classes in drama at college before moving into New York City from Pittsburgh to fulfill her dream. After a casual encounter, she became stuck in an elevator and met writer Beth Henley and the two worked together on the Broadway Crimes of the Heart that became Hunter's debut. When she moved to Los Angeles she tried to get film roles and bagged the role of a co-star for the role of a supporting character in Swing Shift. Holly Hunter has been in numerous movies, television shows and feature films throughout the course of her career. Holly Hunter has a Hollywood Walk of Fame star and was awarded the Women in Film Lucy Award.
